Yeti

Storybook Character Day! I dressed up at Minnie Mouse. Sort of. I wore a red dress, black tights, and Mickey ears. It was a fun day. After work I went over to my friend's house, and a bunch of us hung out. Talked. Prayed. Jam session (I brought my guitar, and she had mini bongo-drum-like-things.) Dinner at a Hawaiian-ish restaurant. Reminiscing on the "good old days." Disney Channel. Nickelodeon. Childhood favorites. Memories. Little wishes and dreams.

Home sweet home. Recording some music using my awesome-tastic Yeti! What a boss! I haven't used it in a while. I missed it.

Scared

So last night I watched The Call. Again. You know, watching a thriller a second time isn't thrilling. You know everything that's going to happen. It takes the thrill out of it. But my sister wanted to see it. So I took her. I tried to pretend to be scared, and join in the ruckus as the theater audience shouted, "What are you doing?" , "Call the police!" , "Don't go down there!" , "Don't tell him! Don't tell him!" , "I told you to call the police! Why don't you listen to me!?" and such.

It reminded me of how you can ride a rollercoaster, and it can be so scary the first time. Not knowing what to expect. Butterflies. Excitement. But for me at least, if I go on it enough times, I get immune to the thrill. Which is a bummer because the thrill is the best part of a rollercoaster. I love the feeling I get in my stomach when the rollercoaster drops and my stomach follows suit. I love the adrenaline rush.

But last night I fell asleep teary-eyed and scared about something else. Something completely different. Remember how I said I have to get all of my wisdom teeth pulled out? Well it's happening next Saturday. And I'm terrified. You see, my bottom right wisdom tooth (instead of pointing up like a normal tooth) is pointing to the left, into my other teeth. So they are going to have to slice it in half, extract that part, then go back and take out the rest. And on top of that, both of my bottom wisdom teeth are touching nerves, so he's going to have to be extremely careful not to touch them. Or else. I'm praying for strength and for it all to go well and smoothly. I'm kinda like, oh please just put me under. Well, it's next week, so I may be a little premature in my scared nature, but hey, me no likee pain!

This is definitely not the extent of things that frighten me. It's just my most current fear.

My Little Friend Tom the Gecko


Yesterday after work, my mom pointed out this little guy. She said, "I love these. When you hold them, they're all sticky," and walked away. I immediately dropped to the ground and started taking pictures. (Cuz that's what I do) Ain't he a beaut? So I named him. Obviously. Tom. Tom, my little friend. Say hello, guys. Happy Leap Day!

Happy Leap Day to you all!
I still think that it's strange that every four years has one extra day. A leap year. I know that it's to keep with the astronomical calendar, but it's still funny to me. What's also funny is the popular tradition in some countries that a woman may propose to a man on February 29. And if the man refuses, he then is obligated to give the woman money or buy her a dress. In upper-class societies in Europe, if the man refuses marriage, he then must purchase 12 pairs of gloves for the woman, suggesting that the gloves are to hide the woman's embarrassment of not having an engagement ring. In Ireland, the tradition is supposed to originate from a deal that Saint Bridget struck with Saint Patrick. This I read on wikipedia.  Which reminds me of the movie Leap Year. That was a cute movie. Picasa

So I finally downloaded Picasa yesterday. I know, you're probably like, "Seriously Kiko? Come on! That's totally not like you to not already have it." Well sadly, I didn't realize the awesomeness of it until I was reading blogs and searching on pinterest and realized that I'm totally missing out. I just created three collages today from the pictures I took on my trip last month to California. And they are so cool. At least to me they are. Haha. But yeah. Picasa. I heart that, oh so very much!

Nothing to Say

I think even when you have nothing to say, nothing important going on in your life, you still have stuff on your mind. Which is exactly where I am currently residing. In the land of thoughtful insignificance. I'm not sure if that's what I'm trying to say, or if that's even possible. But I feel the need to type something here and put it up. So here was my day in a snack pack:

Woke up. Got ready. Got kids ready. They left. I read. (current read is Where She Went) My ride came. I went to church. Kids Kingdom fun. Lunch Panera Bread. Baby Shower. Home. Swim. Home. Dinner. Talk. Blah. Yup. That's basically it.

Disneyland!

Just got home from Disneyland last night. I had so much fun! And I have to say, ElecTRONica was AMAZiNG! It's so cool how they have a club-ish scene at Disneyland. It's at night and there are lights and music and so fun. And they even have FLYNN'S, which if you watch Tron, you know what that means. Yeah. The whole trip was a blast. Hooray for Disneyland!

My new favorite game is Cut the Rope. I play it everyday on my iPod Touch. I love it. It's so so so fun! How do you play? Well, CUT THE ROPE! And other stuff. It's very mindy and thinky and I like it! Okay. I'mma go feed OmNom some candy now. Peace!

Clumsy

In February, I sprained my ankle when I walked out the front door and fell down the steps. And just when it was about healed, what did I do? I fell down those same steps and sprained it again! Yeah. It was just on my mind. So I blogged it.

Fall Like Woe

I sprained my ankle yesterday. How? My clumsy-ness. I tripped walking out my front door. And my ankle swelled up to the size of a tennis ball. I. Am. Not. Exaggerating. Wasn't very pretty. But yeah. So I'm missing my concert tonight. I was gonna go see this guy down below at the Grog Shop along with three other bands. But now I can't. Sad :(
But life goes on! Hooray!

I'm Home :)

Just got back to Hawaii late Thursday night. Hanging out with all my family! So fun. I'm so excited to be home, even if it is for only a week. I love it. I missed all my Hawaii folks so so much. I love seeing all my little kiddies (some of whom are not so little anymore.) It's nice to be home. Well, I'm gonna go get back to my peeps. Later! :) Yeah, I'm totally posting videos when I get back to Ohio. So get ready!

Been Here All Along

There's nothing new going on. Not really. Just hanging out with the kids. We've been to Chuck E. Cheese quite often recently. Haha. I'm currently listening to the Hannah Montana Forever Soundtrack on my iTunes. Hehe. Yeah, I like Hannah Montana. Whatever! :) The song "Been Here All Along" reminds me of my family. The chorus goes:

Hooray For Things That Get Fixed!

I took my guitar into the shop to get new strings and a full setup last week Saturday. I haven't done that since I moved back in June of 2010. I just picked it up today, and I've been playing it non-stop. Well, obviously I stopped to post this. Haha. But I am so excited! :) Oh, you are possibly wondering what my guitar looks like. Here, I'll show you!
